Familia Forever isn’t just the name of the label Shepherd founded in 2024, it’s a reflection of his passion and mentality. 

Growing up in Miami, surrounded by the vibrant culture of his Cuban and Costa Rican-American heritage, Shepherd always had a deep connection to music. His older brother's passion for hip hop left a lasting impression, introducing him to the genre at an early age. Artists like 50 Cent and Eminem sparked Shepherd’s love for rhyme and inspired him to start writing his own verses. Unlike the typical reflections of a child, his rhymes showcased his faith and a desire to glorify God.

This art form turned into something Shepherd would hold onto growing up, and became an outlet that he used to grieve, process, celebrate, and inspire. His journey of blending faith and hip hop took a defining turn at the age of 10, when his cousin introduced him to Christian Hip Hop through artists like Lecrae and S.O. Seeing faith and music masterfully intertwined, Shepherd knew he wanted to contribute to the genre in his own unique way.

At the start of his career, it was clear Shepherd had a gift, as he was steadily growing a fan base and gaining placements on platforms such as Rapzilla and Trackstarz. In 2018, a pivotal moment came when he performed his song “Gametime” at the Legacy Conference Artist Showcase, which impressed the judges, garnering him the win. Upon its release in 2019, the song became a cultural phenomenon with placements in major projects such as Space Jam: A New Legacy, NBA 2K20, NFL/Netflix Christmas Day 2025, ESPN commercials , Fox Sports recaps, shoutouts by BET, articles by REVOLT, and more.

While success followed Shepherd, so did trials. The loss of his brother in 2021 tested his faith, leaving him questioning his direction. Yet, through the love and support of his family, community, and mentors, he found strength to grow spiritually and continue his mission. Shepherd’s music became a reflection of resilience and a testament to God’s unwavering goodness, even in hardship.

Today, Shepherd is creating music that embodies his passion, energy, and faith like never before. With over 25 million streams, his work continues to resonate with listeners seeking the same impactful connection. Recognized for his versatility and teamwork, Shepherd has worked with notable artists such as Social Club Misfits, Ace Hood, and Lizzy Parra. On his 2024 EP, Familia Forever, he delivers high-energy tracks, latin rhythmic bars, and dynamic collaborations with artists like Skema Boy, George Rose, and Brenno, further solidifying his presence in the Christian Hip Hop scene.

In 2024, Shepherd founded Familia Forever, a label that secured 13 sync placements within its first six months, including placements with Netflix, MTV, and the NFL. In addition to his music career, Shepherd serves as the Conference Director for Legacy Conference, which in 2024 welcomed over 1,500 attendees across three cities.
